The Hare and
Hounds |

To the right of the bar is the
Family lounge. This area has its own front door, as well as the main garden entrance. Just over half of the tables are designated as No Smoking, and I generally have the speakers turned off throughout this room. This room is ideal for small functions, and will comfortably cater for groups of around forty people. |
|
To the left of the bar servery, viewed
from the main door, is a small games area, with a bar billiards table and a dart board. There is a doorway to the garden in this area.
We also have Cribbage and Connect
Four available. |

The interior of the pub was refurbished in
1997.The bar was moved, creating slightly more space, and the kitchen was extended. The furniture is of a very high standard, and the pub is very comfortable to be in.
In the winter, there is a log fire at one
end, although this year I might replace that with a more efficient wood burning stove. |

Opposite the front of the Pub is Brentmoor Common.
This is a very extensive area of land, which is managed by
Surrey Heath Borough Council, and the Wildlife Trust that now owns most of it. The aim is to maintain it as heathland, rather than forest, so growth of trees is discouraged. Until fairly recently, it was all owned by the Ministry of Defence, which must be at least part of the reason that it was not built on.
Now, if you walk far enough, you will come up against a chain
link fence, with suggestions that you go no further. It is worth heeding these, as the land is used by the army for shooting practice! |

To those of you who hate
music in pubs, I'm sorry, but I disagree. We have low-level background music playing all the time, to fill up those awkward lulls in the conversation. |
