The Hare and
Hounds
Draught Ales.
Badger Best is the
standard session bitter.
Medium dark in colour, it
is quite hoppy, with a hint
of caramel.
Nobody has ever described
Tanglefoot as a session beer.
Even saying that it is 5.1%
seems to miss the point. A very
light coloured beer, with a
beautiful hoppy aroma, and a
tendency to tangle feet.
For this winter, we have King and
Barnes Old Ale. This has become
available to us as a result of Hall
and Woodhouse buying K & B, and is
a very welcome addition to the
range.
4.5% alcohol, and the colour of
stout, it is nonetheless a bitter-
tasting drink, but with a slightly
sweet aftertaste.
Moving on...
Relaunched this year at
4.0%, Dempseys is a
smooth beer. Very pale to
look at, but with a
surprisingly big taste.
